Does anyone have info re: using the lounge, for a fee, if one is not continuing in business class yet has a stopover? All suggestions welcome.

Have a look at loungepass.com, £19 each for max 3hours

I have used the VIP lounge (as I recall, that%26#39;s whet the non-specific airline lounge is called) with a continuing non-business class ticket, when I could prove that there was no business class on my continuing flight.

Check Diners Club, they have lounges for card holders without a fee (usually the same non-specific airline VIP-louges). The card%26#39;s annual fee is about the same as 2 paid visits to a lounge.

I have flown into Germany in buisness class with my connecting flight being economy.
If it%26#39;s a Lufthanse lounge you are wanting use then it won%26#39;t be a problem. Just have your boarding pass from your first flight that states you were in buisnedd class.
As far as any other lounges i%26#39;m not sure.
