3 Day Public Transport Pass

Can you tell me if you can get a 3 day public tranport pass that will include the journey to/from Dusseldorf airport?

The VRR local public transport network does not offer 3 day passes.

Day ticket is EUR 5,20.

Mini group (3-5 persons) day ticket is EUR 11,40.

Düsseldorf itself is a single zone. Thus you need tickets of the price level A (A2) for it.

Düsseldorf airport is in the Düsseldorf zone like all of Düsseldorf.

There is however a Düsseldorf Welcome Card which comes in a 24, 48 and 72 hours version.

This includes public transport, free or reduced entry to many museums, reduced rates for opera, theatre, variety theatre, boat tours.

72 hours version is EUR 19,00.

Can you buy this ticket in the airport?

My husband and I are hoping to come for a 3 night stay in May.

Any suggestions for good pubs, with good atmosphere, serving local food and drink would be welcome. Any must sees?
