hello, we will be on the train from Amsterdam any idea how long it takes and if i will need to go to frankfurt and then take a regional train. Thanks, Paul

This route would be one option. But

a) the more expensive route

b) the less scenic route

Better to use the route along the Rhine from Cologne via Koblenz.
