I will travel with the overnight train from Munich to Venice and I am a little bit anxious if it is enough safe for a woman to travel alone in a night train. Has anybody some experience about it?

i have only traveled with the nighttrains from frankfurt to rome and from frankfurt to vienna, but both seemed to be perfectly safe. please note that there is a lot of staff around during the train ride.

I have a very good memory - still,, even though I am getting old these days! That in mind; I do not recall hearing of or reading about incidents of violence on night trains in many years. Well, at least not in Central or Western Europe. Of course, you are always at some small risk, each and every time you walk out the front door. Just enjoy the ride, and make sure your valuables are stored in a safe place.
