Hi Koblenz Forum,
Sunday evening late June 18.12 TRAIN Koblenz to Amsterdam
We are spending the day on a castle cruise from Bacharach to Koblenz. We wished to spend a few hours in Koblenz before taking a train to Amsterdam.
We have Eurail passes.
Will we have a problem getting tickets if we arrive at the station a half hour a half hour before boarding?
Any advice appreciated.
thanks

If you mean for the boat, no. The boats are large and you are not booking a seat. You just show your pass and they wave you onto the boat. Once on board, you can sit where you can find a space. Most of the seating is around tables where food and beverages are served.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry.
I meant being able to take the train from Koblenz station at 18.12 to Amsterdam if we arrive a half hour early?

It takes about 5 min to buy the tickets from the machine (10 min if you are unfamiliar) and another 5 min to leisurely walk to the track. Koblenz HBf is not a very large or confusing station.

Oh, I have seen you have Eurail passes. then you shouldn´t need more than 5 min altogether.

Thanks a lot everyone

The train will arrive at 18:10 in Koblenz. As you have an Eurail Pass you can just hop on the train. Thus all you have to do is to be at 18:10 on the appropriate platform at Koblenz station.
If you arrive half an hour earlier at the KD pier in Koblenz this is also just sufficient. There is a bus (#1) from
Koblenz Deutsches Eck dep 17:41
Koblenz Hbf arr 17:54
If you miss this bus you have to take a taxi (~ 2,5 km).
