DenRus Tours from Warnemunde to Berlin

My family (6 people including my wife, 2 teenage children and in-laws) is considering a DenRus private trip (30 people) to Berlin while our cruise ship is docked in Warnemunde. I have read the Warnemunde to Berlin comments and questions. I would like to inquire if anyone has taken the DenRus tour that is offered to Berlin? I%26#39;ve read the commentary on the DenRus tours in St. Petersburg, Russia that the company offers. My children really want to see (what%26#39;s left of) the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charley, and other sights that they%26#39;ve studied in school. Thanks for your comments.

First of all, from their site it seems that they specialise in Russia and the Baltic countries - which means they probably subcontract your tour with a Berlin-based tour company. If you%26#39;ll contact one of the Berlin based tour companies, you will cut the middle man.

Especially that this middle man is not that inexpensive - $225 per person = for you, $1350. There are many Berlin based companies which would probably do it for about 60% of the price...

Please note in any case, that I have my reservations about your idea: Berlin is not a city for a hurried one day visit. It has too much to see for a superficial day, half of which is wasted on riding the bus to Berlin - it is not near Warnemuende, but 2.5 hours away. It might be better to visit Rostock.
