Wondering if any one has used Hubertus Rank and his Drive Europe services. We are considering using him to book hotels and help set our itinerary.

We used Hubertus and Drive Europe for a one week vacation in Paris and Burgundy in October, 2007. We found the service simply excellent. Hotels were exactly what we were looking for, including a romantic chateau outside Dijon. The car was perfect (be sure to get one with a GPS unit - it made all the difference).
He will work with you to come up with the best itinerary. Tell him what you are thinking in broad strokes (dates, cities, regions, etc). He will come back with a suggested itinerary that you can modify however you want. He gives a base hotel suggestion for the trip price, and alternates with listed additional cost if you want. You have time to look at TripAdvisor and play with it as you wish.
I am in the process of setting up a trip in October beginning in Marseilles, a week in Aix en Provence, then driving to Valencia for a business conference, stopping off for three days in Barcelona. I am getting the same service from him as I did before.
Hubertus is the contact point for Reise-Profi, a large German travel agency. I have no doubt you will be satisfied with them.
