Stop-over 5 hours in Munich

Hi All,

I%26#39;ll have stop-over for 5 hours between my flights in Munich.I%26#39;d like to use this opportunity to have a quick intro to the city.

I was wondering how far is airport from downtown, and how easy I can get there.

I would allow 1 hour each way, give or take, by subway. Taxi is unlikely to be quicker.

You might be pushed for time, therefore- subway IS reliable.

Is this the time between landing and starting or the estimated free time you%26#39;ll have (between immigration and check-in for your next flight). In the first case you can forget a trip to Munich.

Freising would be an alternative.

There is a direct bus (#635) from the airport to Freising. Travel time is 15 minutes. This bus runs every 20 minutes. Departure at the airport :01 :21 :41

Single ticket is EUR 2,30.
