Does Caracalla-Therme offer massages and at what additional cost are they
Thanks

I think they do, but i%26#39;m not quite sure. Treatments like massages etc. mostly are offered in the (also highly recommended) Friedrichsbad:

Yes they definitely do, you can reserve a time at the reception and it is maybe better to do it in advance if you will go at a busy time. Sorry didn%26#39;t notice the price. The massage (soap %26amp; brush) you get at the Friedrichsbad is relatively short and part of the %26quot;route%26quot; through the baths so quite a different experience to a regular massage.

Do you happen to know which hotel is most centrally located to the center of town/casino and which hotel might be the closest to the train station? I will be there for a few days at the end of March, and would like to find a hotel either at the train station or centrally located for easy walking. I%26#39;m not interested in an expensive hotel because I will not be spending much time in a hotel room. Thank you! Becky

Baden-Baden train station is in the suburb Oos. Baden-Baden itself is 5 km away in a side valley.
There are frequent buses from the station to downtown Baden-Baden (Leopoldsplatz is the main bus knot there).

To my knowledge you cannot stay near the train station at all. Next accommodation offers are in Sandweier (~ 2 km). The suburbs of Baden-Baden in the Rhine valley are however nothing special.
Baden-Baden itself is a really upscale spa resort. Thus not the most budget friendly place to stay.
You did not state when you will come to Baden-Baden. Last week of March and first week of April are an absolute no go (big NATO summit).

Does the Nato Summit mean the rooms will be filled, or that there will be too much security? I was hoping for an opportunity to enjoy the baths and massage. I don%26#39;t have any other options to be in Baden Baden, except for April 1 %26amp; 2.
I was hoping to climb merkur mountain and ride the train, take a buggy ride, and maybe the sight-seeing tour.
Please let me know if you think this is impossible. Most of the hotels show some openings available, but they are expensive. Perhaps the higher hotel expense if because of the Summit?
Thanks for any and all information anyone can provide. I%26#39;m from Texas, and this will be my first trip to Europe!
I appreciate all the informatin anyone can provide!
Thank You very much.

The German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg in which Baden Baden lies has the most spas of any German state, so you shouldn%26#39;t have a problem visiting another place if Baden Baden is no longer an option. Have a look at www.tourismus-bw.de which has a section on spas.

Both.
|||
%26gt;that there will be too much security?%26lt;
I would skip Baden-Baden during the first days of april, actually. Demonstrations are announced, and if the US president should be staying there overnight as well, the security measures probably will become very unpleasant.

I was in Rome once when there was a G7 ? conference and the place was in lock down with the main airport closed to regular flights
|||
... and Rome is about 100 times the size of Baden-Baden.
The town centre will be more or less a fortress.
Hotel accommodation for 14.000 policemen is needed - 300 hotels in the whole region are booked solid for security alone. Add the delegations, add press and all the other staff involved with the summit, and add the opponents.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.
