I%26#39;m just beginning my planning. This is our first trip to Germany. we will be travelling with our 8 yr old son who has traveled with us to London, Paris and Rome in the past 2 years. My idea is to take 10 days fly and drive....money is not a problem...I%26#39;m NOT looking to do it cheaply...any ideas...

Insufficient input. We need to have some idea what you%26#39;re interested in doing/seeing.

It might also help to know where you are arriving and departing Germany at (in and around anywhere in Germany should easily be a week or two of excellent things to see and do), and when you are traveling as some places are best at certain times of the year and also there are many enjoyable special events.

anyway, seems you like big city life. you may consider Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and perhaps Dresden :)
