Munich Visit, Allianz Arena - help

Hi,

We are planning to visit Munich for 2/1 days at 10th of March.

We have few questions :

1) Allianz Arena - We have tickets to Bayern Munich match against Sporting. The thing is that we are not sure where to sleep the night, if near the airport and take taxi to the stadium, or by car (then 1 can%26#39;t drink).

What is the distance between the airport to Allianz Arena?

2) We would like to make an trip at Munich, do you have suggestions for good places to visit ?

Thank you very much! :)

Another tip...If you are going to the game by public transportation (and you should!) give yourself plenty of time. The U-bahn will be packed and there%26#39;s the chance that you will have to wait for more than one train depending upon where you board. Also, it%26#39;s a bit of a walk from the U-bahn station to the Allianz Arena. You will then have to go through entrance control which takes a bit of time as well. If I remember correctly, when we went to a match in November we left from the Hauptbahnhof about 2-2.5 hours before the match. We got there in time to get something to eat, drink, shop a bit and then the match started.
