three months in Heidelberg

We are planning to spend three months in Heidelberg. Can someone please tell me how difficult is it to find a place to live for three months - is it possible to find a fully furnished place and what would it cost. One bedroom and a livingreem is all we will need. How do you go about finding that type of rental? We are going April 1 through July 1. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you are not going there on your own, than your employer or school should be able to help you.

We are going there on our own. If possible, my husband will look for a teaching job and maybe we can then stay longer but in the meantime it is on our own.

Thank you, Molineros - I will contact them right away.

It isn%26#39;t easy finding short -term accommodations, but they do exist. Unfortunately, most of the places in private houses are kind of shabby.

You might have better luck looking in Weststadt, a beautiful residential area (where I lived for a year). Recently my friend there sent me this link to a new boardinghouse - like a pension - there. I haven%26#39;t seen it but she said it looked fine.

Click on %26quot;business class%26quot;and their is an %26quot;English%26quot; option for the website.

As always, you can negotiate for better long-term rates.

There are also other places like this called %26quot;Wohnung%26quot; - not sure if you speak German, but if you google Wohnung Heidelberg lots of things come up. Just depends how much you want to spend!

Good Luck -

Thank you so very much for the information. I went on the site you suggest and sent them an e-mail with my inquiry. Unfortunately, we do not speak German. My daughter got transferred to the one country where I do not know the language - I speak Russian, Portuguese, Spanish and English but not German!! So I will have to stick with the websites in English.

Again, thank you so very much.

One of the many great things about Heidelberg it that almost everyone speaks English. You will have no problem.

Good Luck -
