In April I%26#39;m going to Berlin and I%26#39;d like to see some movies and buy some DVDs and film memorabilia. I already know the wonderful Yorck movie theatres, the colossal Dussmann store and the Film Museum at Sony Centre. The famous Kulturbrauerei at Prenzlauer Berg also seems like a good place to visit. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance, guys!

You may well already be aware of this, but the multiplex cinema in the Sony Centre screens movies in their original languages. Hollywood blockbusters are therefore all shown in English.
The Odeon cinema on Hauptstraße also shows movies in their original versions.

In terms of shopping for DVDs and memorabilia, there are department stores and specialist shops across the city.
Galeria Kaufhof has outlets at Alexanderplatz and Ostbahnhof (as well as three other stores elsewhere in Berlin). Galeria Kaufhof%26#39;s main rival, Karstadt, also has numerous outlets across the German capital. In central Berlin (to my knowledge) they can be found on Kurfürstendamm and on Wilmersdorfer Straße in Charlottenburg. Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe), continental Europe%26#39;s largest department store, is part of the Karstadt company and stands at the corner of Tauentzienstraße / Wittenbergplatz.

Near Sony Centre is Potsdamer Arkaden centre with a medium-sized branch of Hugendubel bookshop and opposite it a branch of Saturn, the media store. DVDs in both.
However just to add that you need cash to pay in both as foreign cards are not accepted (not 100% sure about German-issued Ec being accepted actually).
A visit to Babelsberg studios in Potsdam?

The Saturn electronics store at Alexanderplatz and the Media Markt in the nearby Alexa shopping center both have excellent selections of films. I know Saturn has a whole section on German films. Prices are cheaper than most stores. If you have any German friends, ebay is a good place to find films at bargain prices. The local magazines Zitty and Tip have a list and reviews of films currently playing at cinemas.
