Hello!
We will be visiting Berlin in April, and I would like to know what to consider in finding a hotel with good access to Tegel airport. I have looked at the Berlin public transport map, and am wondering which neighborhoods are best for getting to Tegel efficiently (and cheaply) on bus or train. We are spending two nights in Berlin (our final stop on our Germany/Czech Republic vacation), so the hotel need not be right at the airport.

Choose a hotel near Alexanderplatz or Zoo(logischer Garten) train stations. From both places there are frequent (every 10 minutes) express buses (lines TXL resp. X7) to Tegel Airport.

I wouldn%26#39;t choose the location not so much on access to the airport. Hotels fairly closed to the airport are not convienient for sightseeing. :-) As mentioned before the area around Alexanderplatz or the Ku%26#39;Damm area are good. From both areas you can get fairly easy to the airport.
