7 days in Nuremberg in Bavaria

I am going to visit Nuremberg in Bavaria,Germany for 7 days in the mid-August 09. Could you please suggest any other destinatios around Nuremberg (places,villages,towns,cities in the distance about 100 km ) that worth seeing? Which is the best and cheapest way to visit them? Thanks in advance

We visited and liked Würzburg, Bamberg, Rothenburg, Regensburg and Ansbach in the last few years and enjoyed them all. You can find a website for each town. They are all easily reached by train.

Change the %26quot;Means of transport%26quot; to %26quot;only local transport%26quot; to get better prices.

This is one of my favorite areas of Germany.
