Hi, we%26#39;re booked to stay at the Hotel Budapester on March 6th for 3 nights and made the reservation through hostelworld. We paid our 10% deposit a few weeks back.
According to hostelworld we should contact the hotel about paying the balance 4 weeks prior although we%26#39;d like to pay now due to the euro exchange rate.
After contacting the hostel all they gave us was a bank account and sort code via email to pay the money into. This seems very unsafe to me, has anyone else had this problem as it%26#39;s quite worrying?
I assumed once we reach the balance due date we%26#39;d be able to pay safely through the hostel world website. Is this correct?
I%26#39;m confused!

I would stay well clear !!
If they want your money then they will allow you to pay through the webite !!
In future hostel world along with others dont actually buy the rooms prior to advertising them, they jst take your deposit and then ring the hotel to check spaces, when thats something you could have done.
Companies such as expedia, bookinhotels etc have the rooms to start with so all you deal with is the recognised company website !!
