Accomodations and Transportation - Berlin->Krakow

Can anyone recommend cheap accomodations in Berlin? An okay hotel, an apartment, or maybe a hostel?

I%26#39;ve looked for flights from Berlin to Krakow on easyjet and the other inexpensive companies, but none of them offer flights between the two cities anymore.

I hope to do a walking tour of the city. Any other suggestions?
