from Athens to Bayreuth

Hello,

I%26#39;m a greek student and i%26#39;m planning to travel to Bayreuth in April. What would be the best way to get from Athens to Bayreuth? Should I travel from Athens to Munich by airplane and then from Munich to Bayreuth by train? And do I have to book a train ticket earlier?

Closest airport is Nuremberg.

Air Berlin flies e.g. from Volos to Nuremberg.

If you like it cheap, select as means of transport %26quot;only local transport%26quot; and use the Bavaria Ticket Single (EUR 19,00) for this trip. This is a day ticket covering all regional trains (S-Bahn, RB, RE, IRE, ALX, BOB), the U-Bahn (metro), trams and buses in either city. And also the buses in Bayreuth. I.e. it will cover your complete trip to your final destination in Bayreuth.

You can buy this ticket on spot from ticket machines.
