Lake Konigsee

We would like to stay 1 night in Berchtesgaden and or Town of Konigsee (late October) and the main sight we would like to view is Lake Konigsee. We will be arriving by train from Hallstatt, Austria.

- Is it worth staying here and viewing since it is late October?

- Is it possible if we are traveling by train, to still have time to see this lake the same we arrive, if we arrive around 12:00pm, possibly take a boat tour?

- If we wanted to stay in the town of Konigsee in place of Berchtesgaden, can we take a taxi from Berchtesgaden train station to the town of Konigsee?

- Can you recommend a nice place to stay on the Lake for 1 night?

Yes. Good chances for nice autumn colours.

With the DB timetable you can query to any bus stop in Schönau (the village at Königssee) and even to the boat stops.

Yes. Or use a bus.

We are staying at Hotel Konigsee the beginning of October. There is another hotel (Schiffmeister) on the lakefront, but I didn%26#39;t get any feedback from them on my inquiry.
