Nuremburg to Venice in March-need advice

My husband and I are getting to go with short notice to Nuremburg in March. We need to end up in Venice about 5 days after we are in Nuremburg. Can you please help me with a path to take. I realize this is a short time, but we want to take in as much as possible. Thanks so much for your input!

First don%26#39;t ignore the sights in Nuremberg and area. E.g. Bamberg and Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
