family trip to Munich with 2 kids - hotel recommendations

We are visiting Munich at the end of April with our 2 sons aged 9 and 7. First of all which hotels have an option of putting all of us together in a room? Preferably downtown so that we can use public transport to get to the major attractions

This hotel is very clean, family-owned, in a very good location, and affordable. Good breakfast too.. More importantly, they have Quad Zimmers (4 bed rooms) for a very reasonable price...

Let me know if this is okay.. Website can be viewed in English too..

Hotel Blauer Bock in the best possible location, very near to the Viktualienmarkt (stop Marienplatz on airport S-Bahn) offers quad rooms for 155€, including breakfast:

I am also looking for a place for a family of 4 and was considering the Novotel Munich City as they offer some good deals in advance. Would the Hotel Eder be a better place? We would want easy access to train station etc. Thanks.

|||

that%26#39;s a good question. Which one of the two is more convenient?

|||

The Hotel Eder is located right between the Main Train station and the main %26quot;shopping%26quot; district, etc. Easy walking or short train ride distance to shopping, great food, beer gartens, museums, the Marienplatz area, art galleries, etc.

If you look at the map on their website:

www.Hotel-Eder.de

... It shows you the Hauptbahnhof (train stat.) in one direction, just a few blocks. In the other direction (North), you can see the Sendlinger Tor, Marienplatz, Viktualienmarkt, Hofbrauhaus, etc. All can be reached on foot within 20 mins or so.

|||

Now that I think of it Geom,,, that would actually be more in the N.E. direction. Simply walk 100 feet or so ober to Bayer strasse, hang a right, walk 3 or 4 blocks to Karlsplatz area on the map, and you will see everything... Just walk down the main streets like NEUHAUSERstr, and you cannot miss!
