Hi all, I am planning to drive to the Garmisch area for skiing, and would like to ask if anyone can tell me about the availability of parking space near the gondola stations of Hausberg or Kreuzeck.
We are intending to arrive around 8am, hoping there are some parking place not so far from the gondola station. Also, some of us will need to rent the ski equipment, so if someone can give advise of the parking location also considering your preferred rental shop, I will very much appreciate it.

Parking should not be a problem, especially if it is not on a weekend. You can tent skiequipemnt in nearly any sports store in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Got to the Internet. I got a number of listings under %26quot;ski verleih Garmisch%26quot;, some in English.
If you are staying in GP, you could alos take a bus to the ski sites. The fare is probably less than what parking will cost you.

I don%26#39;t remember a parking charge at Garmisch and can confirm that there are usually plenty of spaces available, and at 8AM you should be able to find one quite close to the lift stations.
On past trips (Hausberg) we have rented equipment from shops beside the lift station.
We are visiting (again) in February this year and are looking forward to a week of Bavarian hospitality.
