stag report

having noticed that there was not much information on stags in frankfurt (and that some was a bit disparaging) here are my experiences.

stayed at the hotel continental - excellent location and service at a good price. We were told it was near the red light district but didn%26#39;t see anything dodgy while we were there, excepting a few tough looking characters near the train station at night - but then that%26#39;s train stations the world over isn%26#39;t it!!

we had lunch at %26#39;atlantis/atlantic grill%26#39; which was nice and our first taste of a frankfurt sausage and beer (both lovely)

we ended up at o%26#39;reillys for the football as it was yards away from our hotel. the staff were really good and they even reserved a table for us! thought the food was pretty decent as well. it%26#39;s not the cheapest but then irish pubs abroad aren%26#39;t going to be.

then it was off to wagners which didn%26#39;t disappoint! it was brilliant and I wish we could have eaten there - but after an afternoon on the beer bike (excellent fun) it wasn%26#39;t an option not to eat until 22.00, as we%26#39;d all be dead! The applewine is an acquired taste and wthere was probably a 50/50 split in the group for who liked it and who didn%26#39;t.

Then we went hunting for a club that would accept us all (had a false start at a place called living and some underground techno club - groups of lads are not very welcome on doors, even when the clubs are completely empty) we all ended up in Monza which was a good laugh and carried us through until the end of the night when we had a lovely kebab!

Next day we checked out the American yours bar for an eat all you want brunch (which did the trick) and then went to the zoo, which impressed everyone no end (and was very cheap with our travel cards).

So all in all it was brill and I would recommend Frankfurt for a stag! People were all friendly and with the transport system it is relatively easy to get everywhere (and cheap)

Bornheimgirl and blondetom were also goldmines of information . . .

Glad to hear that you had a nice time. Thanks for sharing your trip report. We hoping to sneak in a session at Wagners in late-March. Cheers.
