Frankfurt-Stuttgart

I have two days between jobs in Frankfurt and Stuttgart in early June, like to see more of the the Mittel-Rhein area but where should I stay, would Koblenz be good and what not to miss?

The smaller towns are more authentic. But if you like to stay in a bigger city Koblenz is the place.
