travel connections

hi all can anyone tell me how far it is from dortmund to bochum please,hopefully going to love parade in july and will be based in dortmund,are the train connections good or buses,thank dee x

22 min by S-Bahn (stops more often)

Single ticket is EUR 4,30. This a zone to zone ticket. Valid from every train/tram/bus stop in Dortmund to every train/tram/bus stop in Bochum.

Sorry, the Loveparade 2009 in Bochum was cancelled.

Reason: success in the last 2 years was too big (in Essen and Dortmund). The police and the city administration came after sorting out all options to the conclusion that they could not cope with the numbers of expected visitors in Bochum.

have they not said anything about having it anywhere else in germany that could cope with it,good job i had not booked to go as it was a 40th birthday suprise for my husband,still come to germany though,any suggestions,thanks dee xx
