Hi there. I am staying near the main train station in Frankfurt for a wekk. Would anyone know where you would go for a run early evening that doesn%26#39;t take you around the streets?

close to the main station is the river main, and a lot of people use that area for running.
if you do not mind using public transportation, the nicer route is along the river %26quot;nidda%26quot;!

I was near the main train station and the river Rhein Promenade is very near. We walked it one morning and there were loads running along it.

i hate to be a smartass, but it is the river Main, not Rhine! the Rhine is about 20 miles west of Frankfurt ;-)

Sorry I was in both Frankfurt and Dusseldorf a few weeks apart and I was on the Dusseldorf Forum before I posted this.

Another nice place to run is the Anlage Ring, which is the park that goes completely around the city center. It is where the old city wall used to be. It is about 5 km long. If you look on any of the city maps, it looks like a spiky green wreath. This is quite popular with runners. It starts at the river and goes around past the Alte Oper, and then you just keep going til you run into the river again.
