I went on my first river cruise %26amp;first trip to Europe November 12,2006 from Budapest,Hungary to Nuremberg,Germany, absolutely loved the entire cruise and staff as well the tours. Take many, many pictures(don%26#39;t forget your favorite staff members and captain- they will bring smiles each time you look at your pictures), never miss a tour, and I promise it%26#39;s very cozy with your fellow passengers it%26#39;s worth making new friends and having new adventures.
I must say however being a young soul I did want at least one night to go out and have drinks with locals and just be silly, if your lucky you might talk some staff members into joining you after shifts.
I noticed not one person has mentioned that right where the ships dock if you take about a 5 minute walk across the river you%26#39;ll find a Mississippi River Queen Boat always docked and ready for the night life. you can have dinner upstairs then go down below for some silly dancing and drinks. Why not you are on vacation right!!
It%26#39;s definitely something you%26#39;d see back in the U.S. but I%26#39;d definitely give it a try if you%26#39;re feeling a little spunky! Life is all about enjoying yourself to the fullest!!!
By the way River Cruising is amazing and something everyone needs to enjoy as well many times over!!! I personally had thee most amazing and memorable
experience in Europe all thanks to Viking River Cruises!!! Amazing Teamwork!
I traveled alone one week before the Christmas markets which is beautiful I loved Nuremberg the most- don%26#39;t forget your advent calendars while your there. Regensberg =great steins and laughing or yodeling chipmunks. Vienna oh my! try a romantic ride in a horse drawn fiaker. I got away with spending only $200 dollars the whole time there and brought back plenty small gifts. there%26#39;s so much to say but I%26#39;ve said way too much already. I%26#39;m ready anytime to go again.
Ciao,
Thankful %26amp; Blessed M.M.

I%26#39;m going on Viking Pride Nurenberg to Budapest the first week in July (because I hate the cold). I know you went over two years ago but I hope it%26#39;s still as nice. It sounds like you traveled alone, as I will be, did you have trouble with dinner seating? I guess it will be mostly couples. Also I%26#39;m 57 years old, still work full time and am very young at heart I hope I fit in with the group. I,m anything but shy so I guess it will be OK.
