Munich Germany

We will be having a stop over for 6 hours in Munich.

We get in a 5:35AM.

Is there anyway we will have time to visit Dachau during that time?

Are there any tours from the airport at that time in the morning?

I am afraid six hours in not enough time. Also, the Dachau tours are CLOSED on Mondays, if that is the day you arrive. It would take close to 2 hours from the airport (RT) just to get to Dachau and back.. Bodo%26#39;s in the city center has good breakfast, starting at 0730 a.m. You can take the # S-8 train to the Marienplatz stop (about 45 mins ea way), walk and see the beautiful city center a bit, get breakfast at this place:

BODO%26#39;s Conditorei Cafe

Herzog-Wilhelmstr. 29

tel. 236 65 20

Open:

07:30-22:00

Saturday:

08:00-20:30

Sunday:

08:00-21:00

They have cakes, cookies, eggs, sausages, cheezes, and good German coffee. I have had breakfast there, and I recommend it. Some good shopping in the area, then I would suggest getting back on the S-1 or S-8 train (1 Tageskarte / Single day pass) is good for this round trip, no later than 10:00 a.m. This will put you back near the airport entrance about 10:44 a.m. Three hours in the lovel city center is better than nothing!

5:35 + 6 hours = 11:35

Thus you should be back at the airport latest at 10 am or shortly after it. Dachau memorial site opens however only at 9am and you%26#39;ll need at least 1 hour between there and the airport. Thus this won%26#39;t work.

Thank you so much for the help.

We arrive on a Saturday.

There will be four of us and I will take your suggestion about the breakfast place.

At least we will get to see a bit of Munich.
