I was lucky enough to have spent a fabulous year living in Wuerzburg and studying at the Uni in 2002/2003. With one thing and another i%26#39;ve not managed to get back since Summer 2003 but we%26#39;ve decided to go this December for the Weinachtsmarkt.
I cannot wait to get back there. I%26#39;ve been looking at the mapa and google earth and it%26#39;s all coming bac to me - all the wonderful times I had there.
So I was wondering whether a few particular favourites are still there - Haleakala cocktail bar on Juliuspromenade; Mainkuh chinese restaurant on a boat; the little ice cream shop near Barbarossaplatz; the little British shop next to the Rathaus. There are many more places that I loved but those are the first ones i%26#39;ve thought of.
I%26#39;m so excited about revisiting my Heimat.

I was stationed in Würzburg 30+ years ago and have visited the last two years. I enjoyed the city more than ever. I do not know about your favorites; but, the city is still wonderful.
We are also going in December this year as well. There is so much to do that Weihnachtsmarkt is just frosting on the cake.

My husband and I met in Wuerzburg when we were both stationed there in the %26#39;80%26#39;s He has been back; I haven%26#39;t. We are taking our teenagers there in March and I can%26#39;t wait. Anyone know if the Warsteiner Druecke is still there? (we had one of our first dates there).
