I am going to be in Munich in early September for vacation. I have looked for apartments and have found one that is located on Augsburger Strasse in between Lindwurm Strasse and Thalkirchner Strasse. Can anyone tell me what this area is like in terms of safety and proximity to restaurants, sites, etc? Thanks for your help.

Augsburger Str. is a small street very close to Sendlinger Tor and approx 5 minute walk away from Marienplatz. It%26#39;s a safe area called Glockenbachviertel very popular for its restaurants, bars and clubs. The main station with all public transport connections is close by and every site is easy to reach by public transport or even in walking distance. the area is also very close to the river isar and the local recreation are Isarauen. Finding a parking space in Glockenbachviertel is absolutely impossible.

PDtraveller, how long are you staying in Munich? Did you find an apartment for short-term rental? I%26#39;ll be traveling with 5 friends in November and am trying to find lodging options that would keep it to less than $40 per person per night.
I%26#39;d appreciate any info you%26#39;d like to share about your lodging search!
