Airport hotel

We are arriving in Frankfurt after a long haul from Honk Kong and flying out next morning. Thetravel agent suggested Intercity Airport hotel but the T/A reviews don%26#39;t look too hot. Any Suggestions? We are after, clean, quiet, easy not 5* but not cheap either. Thanks

The only Hotel that is actually connected to the Airport is the Sheraton. It is connected to T1 by a footbridge. It is a big chain hotel but with plenty of public space and wide corridors. Rooms are also big. Bathrooms with bath and shower over are clean and modern.

Double (quadruple) glazing is very effective and plane noises are non-existant.

Room service and mini-bars are pricey but there are two restaurants which over a good range of food.

Room prices can go through the roof if there is a big fair on in Frankfurt.

It can be a bit hard to find as the signs are somewhat well hidden. In T1 with your back to the runways head towards daylight and then up the escalators.

We stayed at the Mercure Frankfurt airpot hotel, it was nice, clean and close enough for us to get the to the airport for our morning flight home, we had a car but they do have airport shuttle service. The only drawback was we had to pay for breakfast but it was a excellent breakfast bar.

Try Marriott Courtyard, we stayed there one night, before departing for DC. Great staff great price, especially weekend rates and close enough to the airport. Plus Marriott properties are always up to standards you%26#39;re used to. No surprises!

It%26#39;s a matter of taste, but I%26#39;d either stay AT the airport (which means the Sheraton) or in the city (or in Mainz which I love) and take either the S-bahn or the train back and forth. easy enough to do.
