I hate to ask a common question but I%26#39;ve spent nearly the whole day researching and keep hitting dead ends. Are there night trains (with sleeper cars) that go to Copenhagen from Munich? Ive searched a few different sights but I am very confused.

There%26#39;s one direct night train, leaving Munich 19.00, arriving in Copenhagen 09.59. Only Mondays to fridays though.
There are others with changes in either Nuremberg or Hamburg. Have you looked here:

That is quite a long ride, as I took that one myself once. I would suggest paying a bit more, getting a sleeper for sure.

All night trains in and around Germany are here:

thanks so much for all the responses and information!

We took the sleeper train to Denmark a few years back. Did not sleep a wink. Felt like my head was right over the wheels, the train kept stopping and the cars would be shunted back and forth, and a lady that was sharing our compartment was snoring away like crazy. The only way I would take a sleeper train again would be if I could have one of those cosy little compartments meant for just 2 and with a bathroom too.

That is so true. You are going to have MANY stops when using European trains as a mode of travel. However, people like the night train because you are saving on a hotel for that night, and you%26#39;re getting where you are heading next to boot. Many of us bring a few beers, and/or a bottle of wine, stay-up and chat with some new friends, then fall asleep later... The wine usually helps this process, and quiets the noise a bit!

I think the price of a sleeper train is more than a hotel room. I would rather be awake and see the countryside and then lay my head down in a comfy hotel room. For those of us who do not drink, the wine and beer option to go to sleep easy is not going to work. :))
Have you looked into cheap flights from Munich to Copenhagen? That might be your best bet.

Drink two glasses of red wine a few times per week, you will live longer and sleep better.

Telling people to drink when they say they don%26#39;t drink is not the best idea, especially if you have no idea why they don%26#39;t drink. Think about it. It could be any number of things. Telling a Moslem to drink would be considered rude wouldn%26#39;t it? How about telling a Mormon or a 7th Day Adventist, or someone with an allergy, or someone who is an alcoholic or someone on medication that doesn%26#39;t mix with booze. Telling someone who says they don%26#39;t drink that they will sleep better and live longer if they would drink, is basically rude.
