Frankfurt Airport Terminal 1 to Fernbahnhof

I am unsure of how to get from terminal 1 baggage claim to Frankfurt airport fernbahnhof. Lufthansa website says in December removed walkways on level 2 and 3. Does this change instructions - from the ground floor of Terminal 1 you must go up, go past the Sheraton, and then down to the train station ?

Just follow the signs to %26quot;Fernbahnhof/AIRail Terminal%26quot;.

airportcity-frankfurt.com/cms/default/rubrik…

gives the plan, you go down to level 0, under the road and past the regional bahnhof.

For some reason I had hard time understanding airport map. I have flown in and out of Frankfurt but had a car. I did not know there is skybridge over A3 and map makes more sense now. Thanks for help.

%26gt; is skybridge over A3

As it is quite wide building and partly fitted with check-in desks it%26#39;s not that obvious from the inside that this is a kind of bridge.

Go to Level 2 (up one level from baggage claim) to the check in area and walk towards the day light.

There are two sets of escalators that go up to bridges across the airport drop off/taxi roads. Take the left one of these and you are on the bridge/walkway that takes you past the Sheraton Hotel and over the A3 into the Fernbahnhof.

The right hand escaltor takes you into the Sheraton but you can turn left inside the Hotel, walk past reception and leave the Concierge Desk on your right. This eventuially connects with the other walkway - turn right for the Fernbahnhof.

Opebble Thank you for your directions. I don%26#39;t think I will have any trouble making connections now.Thanks.
