about every 20 minutes the brass band plays a quick drinking song and everyone hold up their beer. at the end it goes %26quot;Eins … zwei … g%26#39;suffa!%26quot; What are the words to the rest of the song?
|||
Ein prosit,, Ein prosit,, Gemuchlicheit, etc.. (repeat)
|||
this sons is called %26quot;in münchen steht ein hofbräuhaus%26quot;
(in munich there is a hofbräuhaus), and the complete words can be found here:

thanks, i though it was ein prosit so that%26#39;s what i was singing and my friend try to tell me i was wrong.
what does Gemuchlicheit translate to?
|||
Gemütlichkeit.
|||
Friendly surroundings, good-natured companions, feelings of good cheer...not precisely a dictionary definition, but you get the picture (how you felt when singing the beer-drinking songs, maybe?) ;-)
|||
-Easy going-
|||
If you were in the Hofbräu tent, it could have been %26quot;In München Steht ein Hofbräuhaus
einz, zwei, g%26#39;sufa!
The song goes on for a few verses.
The other one - shorter - could be sung at any tent
Ein prosit, ein prosit, der Gemütlichkeit
(repeat)
then %26quot;Einz! Zwei! G%26#39;sufa!
|||
Gemuchlikeit does not really translate well into English, should you ask a Bavarian.. However, this is pretty clse: Friendly surroundings, good-natured companions, feelings of good cheer.... as described earlier. One more word or phrase that is close to what it means %26quot;unofficially%26quot; would be %26quot;we%26#39;re all friends, leave your stress miles away%26quot;...
