We are thinking about doing a week trip in March to Germany, should we stick to one city or two? We%26#39;ve seen good deals with Munich and Berlin, but wondering if we should just stick to Berlin or Munich for the whole week. Travelling with self, hubby and 13 yo son. Hubby%26#39;s dad and mother both moved to Minnesota from Germany around 1900 but not sure from where, so would just like to see some German heritage and castles.

No problem to stay in either city one week.
Berlin has plenty on offer itself. And a day trip to nearby Potsdam is a must.
Munich is a good base for day trips in southern Bavaria. Like to Neuschwanstein Castle, Herrenchiemsee New Palace, Bavarian Alps, Salzburg, Regensburg etc.
To squeeze both Berlin and Munich into one week makes this already a really rushed tour.
