Nefertiti

Which museum is Nefertiti in? I understsnd she will be moving to a new museum in 2009? Does anyone know when?

For the time being, the Egyptian collection (including the bust of Nefertiti) is housed in the Altes Museum on Berlin%26#39;s Museum Island.

It is indeed scheduled to move to its permanent location in the Neues Museum, once the restauration work is completed; it would seem the projected date for re-opening is in October 2009.

As the date approaches, I%26#39;m sure information will become available on Berlin%26#39;s tourism board site: visitberlin.de/english/berlin-infos/index.php

Neues Museum is next to Altes Museum so whenever you visit it wouldn%26#39;t be a problem if the move had taken place (not like the previous move from Charlottenburg to Museum Island).
