I%26#39;m going to Munich in April and am interested in visiting this place (that is in Bavaria) :
%26quot;Castle Ravenstone%26quot; - its homepage is: http://www.burg-rabenstein.de/
The site is in German though...
What I%26#39;m wondering is - is this castle accessible by train from Munich?
Does anyone know how to get there...I%26#39;m looking for the fastest, yet not ridiculously expensive option.
Many thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

Are you certain this is in Bavaria? The web link you posted shows this place along the Nuremburg to Berlin Autobahn:
Autobahn A 9 Nürnberg-Berlin
- Abfahrt Pegnitz (44)
- Richtung Pegnitz
- Richtung Pottenstein/Behringersmühle
B 470, ca. 20 km
I would check: www.db.de/english
See if the runs thru that town called PEGNITZ.. It should.

Sorry, I looked a little closer. The website mentions that it is in or near Bayreuth. You can easily find Bayreuth on the www.db.de schedules..

DB tiemtable
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en
From: [Station/Stop] Munich
To: [Address] Ahorntal, Rabenstein
Cheap if you stick to regional trains and use the Bavaria Ticket Single (EUR 20,00). Select at the DB timetable as means of transport %26quot;only local transport%26quot;. Bavaria Ticket is valid
Mo-Fr: from 9am till 3am next day
Sa,Su: from midnight till 3am next day
Bavaria Ticket covers also the buses for the last part of the trip.
