Frankfurt to Stuttgart

I will be taking a train from Frankfurt Airport to Stuttgart and am completely confused wrt set-up. I understand the regional train station is outside of the airport terminal and not in the bottom level of the airport. Can anyone comment?

The local trains are in the basement of Terminal 1. What you want is also in Terminal 1 but called the Fernbahnhof. To get there, you need to go up, go past the Sheraton, down the hall a ways, and then down to the tracks. This station is well signposted. Because it%26#39;s a fair distance, you might also like to use a luggage cart.

The only signs I have found unusual at this airport have arrows pointing at an angle up or down. These mean a turn accompanied by a level change.

Another question for you .. there were not any deals through the airline I am flying with for a train ticket to Stuttgart. Is it a problem to purchase one when I get to Frankfurt?

You can buy a ticket on spot from Frankfurt Airport to Stuttgart. Normal tickets are always available.

Do you have an idea of how much will cost this train ticket?
