frankfurt airport

I am wondering how big the airport is, in terms of getting out quickly. Also, is there a place to store luggage there overnight? thanks.

Depends how you want to get out (by (rental) car, by public transport). And if you arrive at Terminal 1 (where the train stations are) or at Terminal 2.

Like most airports in the world, baggage claim (waiting for your luggage arrival) is the slowest step. You should arrive there long before the baggage walking from the remotest part of the terminals or even if the plane is parked out on the tarmac a long ways from the terminals. You will pass through immigration along the way. Then usually it%26#39;s just walking through the nothing to declare exit with no lines. With carry-on luggage only, it would be much faster.

It is a big airport. Luggage pickup did take time. The lines at immigration were short on one trip and long for another. For myself I would not assume that one could breeze through Frankfurt airport. If you carry on your luggage, you might get lucky.
